[ Image: A pale skinned woman with long black hair and golden eyes. She wears something that looks like a designer armoured ball gown of leather, armour plate and chain mail. With a dagger at her hip, she holds an ornate decorated shield in one hand and a long sword in the other. White doves and either spears or spires emerge from the grey miasma surrounding her. ]

She wears a sleeveless black unitard with an asymmetrical red frontpiece that matches her knee-high red boots. A silver metal vambrace and matching armoured sleeve cover her right arm, while a tribal style tattoo decorates her left shoulder. In her hand is an exotic curved sword. ]
[ Image: A light skinned woman with short dark hair whose appearance suggests ancestory derived from the one of the indigineous peoples of the Americas. She is dressed in a predominantly standard western fantasy style — leather armour over leather clothes — though there are elements such as the banded mail and the curved sword on her hip that suggest a Japanese influence. ]

I love Paizo artwork fight me
I’m not really a fan of Pathfinder, but one of the things I do like about it is the art style. The main clear improvement over 3.5 for me.
Talk about a character that gets SCREWED. Mutant, not a mutant, Valkyrie, not a Valkyrie. I can do this one thing with my powers…no thats boring, lets get her to do this power. Now I tote guns. *sigh* Sheesh, lady sit down and have a cup of tea.
So as far as *I* Know (thanks wiki) Dani’s been restored to Valkyrie status again, sorta. WHATEVER. THIS Dani is the Herald of Hela. Much like the Silver Surfer, Dani must answer the call of her Mistress.
Her look has pulls from Valkyrie, Sif, and Hela. The waves in her armor is to represent flight or air, the skulls for the lost dead that she must seek out, and her chest insignia is Hela’s headdress design. Of course, Dani has some of her Native American details like her feathers and the necklace. Armed with a ‘big sword’ and her bow and arrows, she’s a force to be reckoned with.
She’s even got the skull eye thing going, but you probably can’t see that.
Well, this is 100% weapons-grade badass.

FUSE is an upcoming video game from Electronic Arts, another in a long line of four player cooperative shooter games that tries to find a gimmick to stand out from the crowd. I won’t go into that gimmick here, since that’s not what interests me about the game, but rather, that, for the first time that I can recall, the four member team is equally split between male and female characters, instead of having the one lone woman (to go with the usual one black male character). Think Borderlands, Borderlands 2, Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, Dead Island, ad infintum (until now!).
And for you Commander Shepard/Liara T’soni shippers, I should note that Naya (left) is voiced by Jennifer Hale and Izzy (right) is voiced by Ali Hillis.

Adam Schumpert - Shiba Tsukimi
There was some discussion on actually showing her injury in this set, but instead we decided we wanted her looking strong and a worthy opponent. Notice her swords blade with its fire pattern. We did try to get her gracefully aged up a bit from her prior Celestial appearance but obviously not to her current age in Emperor. The detail and color in her clothing and armor are easy some of my favorite work from Adam.
[ Image: A coloured sketch of Princess Adrienne from the comics Princeless. She is a younf black woman with frizzy hair tied back in a pony tail. She wears plate mail armour, and carrieds a sword and shield. She is climbing a flight of tairs, with a determined look on her face. ]
princess adrienne on her way to save one of her sisters OuO
i need to tweak a few things and like, add some more depth i think re: shadows but im pretty pleased with it!
Why do I suddenly feel the urge to ask her to defend my honour?

Costume research for a promo piece I’m starting. It’s kind of an homage to fantasy, cuz I’ve been reading a lot of that lately, and it’s been on my idea list for a while. There will be a CASTLE and a DRAGON and a LADY KNIGHT with a SWORD. Because, you know, I’m all about the girl power.
Anyways. I’ll probably go with something like the second one. And if you want to see some much cooler medieval ladies, check out THESE but Hannah Christenson. They are fantastic.
